Upon the death of my father, in 2018/, I suddenly found myself with a house to renovate, market and sell. I turned to the group that he had relied upon for the last 25 years while living in Vista del Lago; Cristina Rojas and her team at Century21
In short order, Cristina and her staff:
- Toured the property and pitched the best approach for putting the house on the market
- Coached how much to renovate, what furniture to keep and what to clear away
- Helped to coordinate all the information required by my father´s attorney and Notary Public (key in Mexico).
- Analyzed and assisted my family in maintaining payment of household bills and expenses prior to the sale of the property
- Negotiated the terms of the required severance to be paid to household maid and gardener.
All of this in addition to what one normally expects of a good realtor; setting a smart asking price for a property then acting as skillful intermediary in negotiations with prospective buyers.

I have been dealing with Century 21 since I bought my first house in Mexico years ago.
In that time I have sent funds from Canada where I am a citizen to their bank account to originally buy our property in Villa Nova, Ajijic.
And we hired them to manage our property also. As a result I regularly send monies by wire to their bank account, usually in multiplies of $5,000 worth of pesos a couple times a year.
For a number of years I have been sending to the account titled Chapala Trust and have had no problems. I have also shipped larger amounts to this account to pay for construction at our Ajijic home and yesterday sent $25,000 pesos to the same account which they pass on to an American friend who along with my wife and I are sending a very bright young Mexican to University.
I would like to add that Century 21 has been a great experience for us. They were very professional when we bought our home and have managed our property.
Very well since. We recently purchased another property in Mexico near Manzanillo.
And Century 21 initially helped us with a review of the offering and our offer as we trusted them to act in our best interests.
Chapala Trust account is definitely them as all my funds deposited there are to my account with C21 and are being used to pay my bills locally. I get monthly reports on expenditures and balances.
